Hi Maker Friends! During our Maker Camps this week we worked on a wide variety of things. Here is one of them in detail that we want to share with you that we loved making quick and fun using a laser cutter, slot design and 1/8″ baltic birch as our wood material.
This photo (see above) is of when we were designing our blue print for the rocket using Fusion360 that is designed to be cut out using a laser cutter.
The photo that can be seen above is of the rocket freshly off the cutter. As you can see it turned out perfectly using a slot the same width as the material we are using.
Now we test fit to make sure everything fits nicely and boom we have completed our easy and simple to make laser cut rocket.
If you want to make your very own you must have a cutter that is at least 5 by 3 inches and feel free to use our design (links at the bottom) and even change it up if you would like. Enjoy and if you like this please share and if you make one, please tag us and let us know!
Need access to a laser cutter? Our members have 24/7 access and more tools to make almost anything you can imagine. Join us and let’s make something AWESOME together!
